If you are starting from the Limerick City Centre, head towards O'Connell Street, which is the main thoroughfare. Walk south until you reach the junction with Thomas Street. Turn right onto Thomas Street and continue walking until you see the iconic King John's Castle on your left. From there, continue along the riverfront until you reach the bridge at Sarsfield Bridge. Cross the river and then take the first left onto Castle Street. The Bishops Palace / The Griffon-Lion Royal Palace will be on your left at number 9 Castle Street.

From Limerick City Centre, you can take bus route 304 or 305 towards King's Island. Get off at the stop named 'King John's Castle'. From there, walk towards Castle Street. Head east along Castle Street, and you will find the Bishops Palace / The Griffon-Lion Royal Palace at 9 Castle Street on your right.
