If you are traveling by car, head towards Newcastle, which is the nearest town to the Mourne Coastal Trail. From the center of Newcastle, take the A2 towards the coast. After approximately 2 miles, turn onto Ballagh Road. Follow Ballagh Road for about 1 mile, and you will see the Mourne Coastal Trail entrance at 67 Ballagh Rd, Newcastle BT33 0LA. There is parking available nearby, but make sure to check for any parking fees.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from nearby towns to Newcastle. Services like the 24A and 215 run frequently from Belfast to Newcastle. Once you arrive at the Newcastle bus station, it's a short walk to the Mourne Coastal Trail. Exit the bus station and head towards the A2 (Main Street). Turn right onto Main Street and walk until you reach Ballagh Road, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow Ballagh Road for about 1 mile to arrive at the trail entrance at 67 Ballagh Rd.
