Car
From the Mourne Mountains, head north on the A2. Follow the signs for the A1 towards Lisburn. Merge onto the A1 and continue for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit for the A3 towards Hillsborough. Continue on the A3 until you reach Hillsborough. Turn left onto Park Street, and the entrance to Royal Hillsborough Forest Park will be on your right. Parking is available on-site.

From the Mourne Mountains, you can take a bus to Newry or Belfast. From Newry, check for bus services heading to Lisburn. Once in Lisburn, transfer to the bus service that goes to Hillsborough. Alight at the stop nearest to Park Street. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Royal Hillsborough Forest Park. Be sure to check the local bus schedules for accurate timings and connections.
