Bus
From Sligo town, head to the bus station located at Coach Station, 20-21 St. Anne's Terrace, Sligo. Take the Bus Éireann route 64 towards Donegal Town. This bus will take you through scenic countryside. Get off at the Muckross Head stop, which is approximately a 45-minute ride. Once you disembark, walk towards the coast; Trá Bán Beach is a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the path towards the beach, and you will soon see the sandy shore.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Sligo. Start from the town center and head towards the N4 road, following the signs for Donegal. Take the scenic route through the countryside; this is approximately a 20 km ride. Once you reach Muckross, look for signs directing you to Trá Bán Beach. The ride will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed.

Walking
For those who are adventurous and enjoy a long walk, you can set out from Sligo town. Head east towards the N4 road, and then make your way along the coastal paths that lead toward Muckross. This is a longer trek, approximately 22 km and will take around 5 hours on foot. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water and snacks for the journey. When you reach Muckross, follow the signs to Trá Bán Beach.
