Car
From the center of The Burren, head northwest on the N67 toward Fanore. Continue on the N67 for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the junction with the R477. Turn right onto the R477 and follow this road for about 9 kilometers. You will see signs for Black Head Lighthouse along the way. As you approach the lighthouse, you will turn left onto a small road that leads directly to the lighthouse parking area. Please note that parking may be limited, especially during peak tourist season.

To reach Black Head Lighthouse using public transport, start by taking a bus from the nearest town with bus services, such as Doolin or Lisdoonvarna, to the town of Ballyvaughan. From Ballyvaughan, you can take another bus that heads towards Fanore. Ask the driver to let you off near the R477 junction. From there, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers along the R477, following signs for Black Head Lighthouse. It is advisable to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary, and there may be a small fare for each bus ride.
