    Start your journey at the Salthill Promenade, a scenic walk along the coast. Head west along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach area. Continue straight until you reach the crossroads at the end of the promenade. Here, turn left onto the R336 road, which leads out of Salthill.

    Follow the R336 road as it curves and continues for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass through residential areas and some small shops. Keep an eye out for signs indicating the way to Black Head or Murrooghtoohy North.

    As you approach the outskirts of Salthill, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the right fork, which will lead you toward the coast. Continue walking until you reach a smaller local road that leads directly towards the coastline.
