Getting There

Walking
If you are already in the Old City, the Dome of the Rock is located on the Temple Mount. From the Jaffa Gate, head straight down the main street, David Street, until you reach the Western Wall Plaza. Once there, you will see the Western Wall in front of you. From the Western Wall, walk towards the left side of the plaza, and follow the signs towards the Temple Mount entrance. Note that there may be security checks, so be prepared to show identification. After passing through the security area, you will ascend to the Temple Mount, where the Dome of the Rock will be prominently visible.

From the Damascus Gate, enter the Old City and walk straight towards the Old City market (souk). Continue straight through the market until you reach the Western Wall Plaza. From there, follow the same directions as above to the Temple Mount entrance.
