Getting There

Bus
From Amalfi, head to the bus station located near the main square (Piazza dei Dogi). Look for the SITA bus that goes to Pompeii. Buses to Pompeii run frequently, approximately every 30 minutes. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride along the coast until you reach the Pompei Scavi bus stop. The journey takes around 1 hour. After getting off, follow the signs to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

Ferry and Train
Start at the Amalfi ferry terminal. Take a ferry to Salerno, which offers beautiful views of the coastline. Upon arriving in Salerno, exit the ferry and walk to the Salerno train station, which is about a 15-minute walk. Take a train from Salerno to Pompei Scavi (the station for the archaeological site). The train ride takes about 30 minutes. After arriving at Pompei Scavi, follow the signs to the entrance of the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.

Walking and Train
If you enjoy walking, you can take a scenic walk from Amalfi to Atrani and then to Ravello. From Ravello, take the bus down to Minori, then transfer to another bus towards Pompeii. This option is more lengthy but offers stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. Once you reach Pompei, follow the signs to the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.
