    Start your journey at the Basilica di San Francesco in Assisi. From the Basilica, head southeast on Viale G. Amendola toward Via San Francesco. Continue straight to stay on Viale G. Amendola, which will turn into Via San Francesco. Follow this road until you reach the Piazza del Comune. From the square, take Via Portica, which leads you out of the historic center. After approximately 1 km, you will reach the intersection with Via della Storia. Turn right onto Via della Storia and continue for another 1.5 km until you reach the Strada Provinciale 91. At this point, follow the signs for Lame Rosse, which will be approximately 10 km from this intersection. Look for the hiking trail signs indicating the inizio percorso.
