Walking
If you are starting from the Bergamo train station (Stazione di Bergamo), exit the station and head towards Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII. Walk straight on Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Via G. Camozzi. Continue walking along this road, which will lead you into the city center. Once you reach Piazza Matteotti, take the street on your left, Via Pignolo, which will lead you to the lower funicular station. From here, take the funicular to the upper town (Città Alta). Upon exiting the funicular, walk straight onto Viale Vittorio Emanuele II, which will take you to the main square.
