Walking
If you are starting from Bologna's central square, Piazza Maggiore, head southeast toward Via Rizzoli. Walk straight along Via Rizzoli until you reach the intersection with Via Ugo Bassi. Turn left onto Via Ugo Bassi and continue straight for about 10 minutes. As you walk, you will pass various shops and cafes. Eventually, Via Ugo Bassi will lead you directly to the main train station, Bologna Centrale. From the train station, exit onto Via Indipendenza and continue walking straight. After about 15 minutes, you will reach P.za XX Settembre. Porta Galliera will be visible to your right, located at P.za XX Settembre, 15.
