Getting There

Walk
If you are in the town center of Capri, head towards the Marina Grande area. Follow the signs for the funicular railway which will lead you down to the port. Once at the port, you need to catch a ferry or hydrofoil to Naples. Make sure to check the schedule in advance. Upon arriving at the Naples port, you will need to switch to a train heading to Pompeii. The Circumvesuviana train departs from Napoli Centrale station. Purchase a ticket to Pompei Scavi - Villa dei Misteri station.

Public Transport
From the main square in Capri, take the bus to Anacapri and then transfer to a ferry service that goes to Sorrento. From Sorrento, walk to the Circumvesuviana train station and take a train to Pompei. Make sure to validate your train ticket before boarding.

Taxi
While taxis are available on the island, you will need to first take a taxi to the Marina Grande. Once there, catch a ferry to Naples. After arriving at Naples, take a taxi to Napoli Centrale train station and then board the Circumvesuviana train to Pompei.
