From Catania city center, head to the central bus station, 'Stazione degli Autobus' near Via Archimede. Look for the AST (Azienda Siciliana Trasporti) bus service that goes to Nicolosi. Purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or vending machine. Buses to Nicolosi run several times a day, so check the schedule. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Nicolosi, you will need to walk about 1.5 km to reach Rifugio Sapienza.

After getting off the bus in Nicolosi, exit the bus station and head south on Via Vittorio Emanuele. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Roma. Turn left onto Via Roma, then take the first right onto Via A. De Gasperi. Follow this road, which will eventually lead you to Via Etnea. Continue along Via Etnea until you reach Piazzale Rifugio Sapienza. The total walking distance from the bus stop is approximately 1.5 km and will take about 20-25 minutes.

If you prefer not to walk, you can take a taxi from Nicolosi bus station to Rifugio Sapienza. There are usually taxis waiting at the bus station, or you can call one using a local taxi service number. The taxi ride will take about 10 minutes and will cost around €15-€20.
