If you are in one of the villages of Cinque Terre, take the train to La Spezia. From any of the Cinque Terre train stations (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, or Riomaggiore), board a train heading towards La Spezia. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at La Spezia train station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal nearby.

At the La Spezia bus terminal, look for the bus line that goes to Lerici. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule online or at the terminal, as the frequency may vary.

Once you arrive in Lerici, disembark at the main bus stop. From there, make your way to the waterfront promenade (Passeggiata a Mare). Walk along the promenade towards the left, following the signs for 'Castello San Giorgio.' The castle is located on a hill, so you may need to ascend some stairs. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions if you need assistance. The castle is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
