Getting There

  • Train and Bus

    From any village in Cinque Terre (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, or Riomaggiore), take the train to La Spezia Centrale. Once you arrive at La Spezia, exit the train station and head to the bus terminal located just outside the station. Take bus number 34 towards Lerici. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Lerici' stop. From the bus stop, walk towards the waterfront and head up the hill towards the castle. Follow the signs for 'Castello San Giorgio' which will guide you up the steps to the castle entrance.

  • Ferry

    If you're in Monterosso, you can take a ferry to Lerici. Check the ferry schedule at the Monterosso harbor. Upon arrival at Lerici harbor, exit the ferry and walk towards the main square (Piazza Garibaldi). From there, follow the signs directing you to 'Castello San Giorgio'.
