If you are driving to Lake Sorapis, start from Cortina d'Ampezzo. Head northwest on SS51 for about 4 km until you reach the junction for SP49. Turn right onto SP49 and continue for approximately 7 km. Look for signs indicating 'Lago di Sorapis'. You will arrive at the parking area near the trailhead. Note that parking may incur a fee (around 5-10 euros). The trail to the lake begins here.

To reach Lake Sorapis via public transport, take a bus from Cortina d'Ampezzo to the 'Rifugio Auronzo' stop. Buses run regularly, and the ticket costs around 3-5 euros. From the Rifugio Auronzo stop, you will need to hike approximately 10 km to reach the lake. Follow the marked trail leading to Lake Sorapis, which may take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace.

Once you have parked your car or arrived by bus at the trailhead, begin your hike on the well-marked trail toward Lake Sorapis. The trail is moderately challenging, with some steep sections. Follow the signs for 'Lago di Sorapis'. The hike typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours one way, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water.
