Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start your journey heading towards Modena. Use the A1 motorway, which connects several cities in Emilia-Romagna. Take the exit for Modena Nord if you are coming from the north or Modena Sud if you are coming from the south. After the exit, follow the signs towards the city center (Centro di Modena). Once you enter Modena, navigate towards Via Emilia, a major road that leads directly into the heart of the city. Look for signs pointing to Piazza Roma. There is limited street parking available, so be prepared to find a parking garage nearby or use pay-and-display parking on the streets.

• Train and Walk

  If you are using public transportation, take a train to Modena's central train station (Stazione di Modena). The train station is well-connected to major cities in Emilia-Romagna and beyond. Upon arrival at Modena station, exit the station and head towards Via Emilia. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Piazza Roma. Simply follow Via Emilia in the direction of the city center, then turn onto Corso Canalgrande, and continue straight until you reach the square. Alternatively, you can take a local bus (Line 6 or Line 7) from the train station that goes to the city center.

  For those looking to use the bus, there are several lines that connect various parts of Emilia-Romagna to Modena. Check the local bus schedules for services that go to Modena. Once in Modena, you can take local buses such as Line 1 or Line 4, which have stops near Piazza Roma. Make sure to purchase a bus ticket from a vending machine or authorized vendor before boarding. A single ticket costs around €1.50 and is valid for one journey.
