    From the Florence Santa Maria Novella Train Station, exit the station and head towards the main square in front of the station. You will see the large white and green façade of the Basilica di Santa Maria Novella directly in front of you. Walk along the right side of the basilica on Via della Scala, then turn left onto Via della Storia. Continue straight for about 300 meters until you reach Viale Filippo Strozzi. Turn right, and you will see Porta Santa Maria Novella on your left side. It is a large historical gate facing the road.
