Walking
If you're starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head southeast on Via dei Servi towards Piazza della Signoria. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Repubblica, then take Via Nazionale. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Scala and turn left. Follow Via della Scala until you see the signs leading to Piazzale Montelungo. The journey should take around 25 minutes.

Public Transport - Bus
From the Santa Maria Novella train station, take Bus Line 13 (direction: Viale Aldini) or Line 22 (direction: Viale Talenti) from the bus stop located outside the station. Ride for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Piazza della Libertà' stop. From there, it's a 10-minute walk: head northeast on Viale Giacomo Matteotti, then turn left onto Viale dei Mille, where you will find signs directing you to Piazzale Montelungo.

From Ponte Vecchio, walk towards Piazza della Signoria. Once there, take Via dei Gondi, leading you to Via dei Calzaiuoli. Continue straight until you reach Piazza della Repubblica, then turn left onto Via Nazionale. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Via della Scala. Turn left onto Via della Scala and follow the signs to Piazzale Montelungo, which should take about 30 minutes in total.
