If you are near the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head east on Via dei Calzaiuoli, a pedestrian street, for about 10 minutes. Keep walking straight until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. From there, turn left onto Via degli Strozzi and continue straight until you reach Piazza del Mercato Centrale. The market will be on your right.

Public Transport (Bus)
Locate the nearest bus stop and take Bus line C2 or C3. Ride the bus towards the 'Firenze Stazione' direction. Get off at the 'Stazione Centrale' stop. From there, walk south on Via Nazionale for about 5 minutes. Turn left onto Via dell'Indipendenza, and continue straight until you arrive at Piazza del Mercato Centrale, which will be on your left.

Walking from Santa Maria Novella Train Station
Exit Santa Maria Novella Train Station and head towards the main square in front of the station. From there, take Via Nazionale straight for about 10 minutes. At the end of Via Nazionale, turn left onto Via dell'Indipendenza, and continue straight until you reach Piazza del Mercato Centrale, which will be on your left.

From the Ponte Vecchio, walk towards the Uffizi Gallery and proceed to Piazza della Signoria. From there, head east on Via dei Calzaiuoli until you reach Piazza della Repubblica. Turn left onto Via degli Strozzi. Continue straight until you reach Piazza del Mercato Centrale on your right.
