Walking
If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head south on Via dell'Oriuolo towards Piazza San Lorenzo. Continue straight onto Via San Lorenzo and then take a left onto Via de' Ginori. Follow this street until you reach Via del Proconsolo. Turn right onto Via del Proconsolo and continue straight until you reach Piazza della Signoria. From here, head towards the Ponte Vecchio and cross over the river Arno. Once you cross, continue straight into the Oltrarno district. Follow the signs to the Boboli Gardens, and once there, take the path that leads up to the Bardini Gardens. After visiting Bardini, follow the paths to the top where you will find the Vista panoramica di Firenze, located at Viale Giuseppe Poggi, 7, 50125 Firenze FI.

From the Santa Maria Novella train station, walk to the nearby bus stop 'Piazza della Libertà' and take bus number 12 or 13. Get off at the 'Piazza Pitti' stop. From there, walk towards the Boboli Gardens, and climb the paths leading to the Bardini Gardens, which will take you to the Vista panoramica di Firenze.
