Walking
If you are starting from the Lucca train station, exit the station and head straight towards Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue on this road until you reach the city walls. Once at the walls, turn right and follow the path along the walls until you come to the Porta San Donato. Enter through the gate and continue straight into the city center. After a short walk, you will find yourself at Piazza San Michele, a central square in Lucca. From there, head towards Via Fillungo, the main shopping street. Continue walking until you see the Duomo di Lucca (Lucca Cathedral) on your right. Once you reach the cathedral, take a left onto Via San Giovanni and follow the road until you reach the end, where you will find a small pathway leading to Terrazza Guglielmo Petroni. The terrace offers beautiful views of the city.
