Walking
From the central area of Porta Nuova, head south towards Corso di Porta Nuova. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Melchiorre Gioia. Turn right onto Via Melchiorre Gioia and walk until you reach the intersection with Via della Liberazione. Here, turn left onto Via della Liberazione. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout at Piazza della Repubblica, then head towards Corso Buenos Aires. Cross Corso Buenos Aires, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Pirelli. Turn right onto Via Pirelli, and walk until you reach the intersection with Viale Tunisia. From here, continue straight down Viale Tunisia; you will soon see the Arco di Porta Romana ahead. The total walking distance is approximately 2 km and should take around 25-30 minutes.

Metro
From Porta Nuova, walk to the nearest metro station, Milano Centrale (approximately 15 minutes on foot). Take Line 3 (the yellow line) in the direction of Comasina and get off at the 'Duomo' station (2 stops). At Duomo, transfer to Line 1 (the red line) towards Sesto 1 Maggio FS and get off at 'Porta Romana' (2 stops). From the Porta Romana station, exit and walk approximately 5 minutes south on Viale Monte Nero to reach the Arco di Porta Romana. The metro journey will cost about €2.00.
