From Montepulciano, head to the nearest bus station, which is located at the end of Via di Gracciano nel Corso. You can take Bus 112 towards Asciano. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Monte Oliveto Maggiore' stop. Once you disembark, walk along the road to reach the entrance of the Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer to walk, start from the main square (Piazza Grande) in Montepulciano. Head down Via del Teatro and continue straight onto Via di Gracciano nel Corso. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Strada Provinciale 146. Turn left onto SP146 and follow the signs towards Asciano. The walk is approximately 8 kilometers and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
