Discover more about Parco Sculture del Chianti

Nestled in the heart of the Chianti region, the Chianti Sculpture Park offers a unique and enchanting experience where contemporary art harmoniously blends with nature. Inaugurated in May 2004, the park was the vision of Rosalba and Piero Giadrossi, who transformed 7 hectares of woodland into a captivating open-air gallery. The park features a permanent collection of site-specific installations and sculptures by artists from over twenty countries. Each artist was invited to visit the woods, select a site, and create a work that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The result is a diverse collection of artworks that interact with the trees, sounds, colors, and light of the forest. Materials range from bronze and iron to granite, marble, glass, and neon. As you wander along the 1.5 km trail, you'll encounter intriguing works such as the glass labyrinth by British artist Jeffry Kooons, a mesmerizing tunnel by Federico di Zamo, and the evocative sound installations that add an acoustic dimension to the visual art. The park also includes an amphitheater, the only one in the Province of Siena, which hosts concerts and cultural events during the summer months. The nearby village of Pievasciata is also transforming into a Borgo d'Arte Contemporanea (B.A.C.), with art installations throughout the village.
