Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of San Gimignano, head towards the main square, Piazza della Cisterna. From there, take Via San Giovanni, which leads out of the historical center. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Vecchia, where you will see signs for the bus stop. At this point, you can catch a local bus heading to Fiesole. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. The ride to Fiesole will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Fiesole bus stop, walk along Via G. Matteotti until you reach Via S. Francesco. Turn left onto Via S. Francesco, and the Convent San Francesco will be on your right at number 13.

  To reach Convent San Francesco from San Gimignano, first, make your way to the nearest bus station in San Gimignano. You can find it at Piazzale Martiri della Libertà. From there, take a bus towards Florence and get off at the Florence train station (Firenze Santa Maria Novella). Once at the train station, transfer to a bus heading towards Fiesole. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Fiesole, exit at the main bus stop and walk up Via G. Matteotti. Turn left onto Via S. Francesco, and you will find the Convent San Francesco located at number 13.
