Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius Day Trip from Rome Tickets Included
Amazing Day Trip around Naples
The two segments of this experience are very different. The Pompeii tour is very structured, and Alfredo does a great job explaining what you see as you walk through the highlights. For the second half, Giovani will expertly navigate near the top of Mount Vesuvius, a drive I would never make myself but felt safe with Giovani at the wheel. Once we arrived at the top of Mount Vesuvius, you essentially have freedom to hike as you wish. It’s a bit more of a hike than I thought from the description, for me that was welcome but plan for a somewhat strenuous and rewarding 1km hike. During each of the drives, Luna provides details on the history of the area, from Naples and Pompeii to the neighboring areas like Capri and Sorrento. Luna also took special care to make sure I was back to Napoli Centrale in time for my train, which was greatly appreciated. Overall this was a great way to see Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius in the same day.
