Walking
If you're starting from the Pisa Centrale train station, exit the station and head southwest on Via della Stazione. Continue straight until you reach the traffic light at Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Turn left onto Via Giuseppe Mazzini and walk until you reach the large square, Piazza dei Cavalieri. From there, take Via Santa Maria, which leads you towards the river. Once you reach the river, continue along Lungarno Pacinotti until you see the bridge, Ponte di Mezzo. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach Piazza Daniele Manin. Porta Santa Maria will be on your right at the end of the square.

From the Leaning Tower of Pisa, head east on Via Santa Maria towards the end of the square. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the end of the road and find yourself at Piazza Daniele Manin. Porta Santa Maria is located at the far end of the square, easily visible once you arrive.
