Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Amphitheatre of Pompeii, exit the amphitheater and head southeast on Via dell'Abbondanza. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, passing by various shops and local eateries. You will eventually reach the intersection with Viale delle Ginestre. Turn left onto Viale delle Ginestre and continue walking for about 5 more minutes. The entrance to Scavi di Pompei will be on your right side.

  • Public Bus

    If you prefer to take a bus, head to the nearest bus stop located at Via dell'Abbondanza, near the amphitheater. Take the bus heading towards Pompei Scavi. The bus ride will take approximately 5 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Viale delle Ginestre. From there, it is just a short walk of about 3 minutes to reach the entrance of Scavi di Pompei. Please note that a bus ticket will cost around €1.10 and can be purchased at local kiosks.
