Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Pompeii Scavi (excavation) train station, exit the station and turn right onto Via Plinio. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Villa dei Misteri. Turn left onto Via Villa dei Misteri, and walk for about 10 minutes. The entrance to the Pompeii Ruins will be on your left side, marked clearly.

From the main square of Pompeii, Piazza F. Torre, head southwest on Via Roma. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, then turn right onto Via Villa dei Misteri. Follow this road for approximately 15 minutes. The entrance to the Pompeii Ruins will be on your right, and it is well signposted.

If you are at the Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Rosary, exit the sanctuary and head east on Via Sacra. Follow the road until you reach the intersection with Via Villa dei Misteri. Turn right onto Via Villa dei Misteri, and continue along the road for about 5 minutes. You will arrive at the entrance of the Pompeii Ruins on your left.

From the Hotel Forum, exit the hotel and walk east on Via Villa dei Misteri for about 5 minutes. The entrance to the Pompeii Ruins will be on your right. Keep an eye out for the large archway marking the entrance.
