Car
From Portofino, take the SP227 road towards Santa Margherita Ligure. Continue on SP227, then take the exit towards A12/E80. Merge onto the A12/E80 motorway. Follow signs for La Spezia and exit at Carrodano. From the exit, follow the signs towards Levanto. Once in Levanto, navigate to Via Domenico Grillo, 10. The Sentiero 1 Levanto-Monterosso trailhead will be nearby.

From Portofino, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the bus to Santa Margherita Ligure. From there, transfer to a train heading towards La Spezia. Get off at Levanto station. Once you arrive at Levanto, exit the station and walk towards Via Domenico Grillo. The Sentiero 1 Levanto-Monterosso trailhead is close by.
