From the center of Positano, head towards the main road (SS163) and follow the signs for the ferry terminal. As you walk down, enjoy the beautiful views of the coastline. Once you reach the ferry terminal, take a ferry to Naples. The ferry ride will provide you with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast. Upon arrival at the Naples ferry terminal, follow the signs to the metro station.

At the Naples ferry terminal, take the metro line 2 (the green line) towards Garibaldi. Ride for about 4 stops and get off at the 'Piazza Cavour' station. Once you exit the metro, you will be about a 15-minute walk from the Basilica San Giovanni Maggiore.

From the 'Piazza Cavour' metro station, head towards Via Foria and turn left. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Via Duomo. Turn right onto Via Duomo, and continue walking until you see the Basilica San Giovanni Maggiore on your right. The entrance is located on Rampe S. Giovanni Maggiore.
