Walking
From the main beach area in Positano, start walking up Via Pasitea towards the main road. Continue on Via Pasitea until you reach the intersection with Via Cristoforo Colombo. Turn left onto Via Cristoforo Colombo and follow it as it curves up the hill. Keep walking until you reach the bus stop for the SITA bus service. Take the SITA bus to Naples. Once you arrive in Naples, head towards the Metro Line 1 at Garibaldi station. Take the Metro towards Piscinola and get off at the 'Università' station. Exit the station and walk towards Via Mezzocannone. Continue straight until you reach Piazza San Gaetano, where you will find the Complesso Monumentale San Lorenzo Maggiore.

From Positano, go to the SITA bus stop located near the main beach. Board a SITA bus heading towards Naples. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Naples bus terminal, follow the signs to the Metro Line 1. Take the Metro towards Piscinola and get off at the 'Università' station. After exiting the station, walk straight on Via Mezzocannone until you reach Piazza San Gaetano. The Complesso Monumentale San Lorenzo Maggiore is located at the square.
