Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are at the Vatican City, head south on Via San Pietro, then turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across the bridge, you will see the Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo directly ahead at Lungotevere Castello, 50.

    If you are near the Termini Train Station, take Bus 40 or 64 from the Termini bus station. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina'. From there, walk south on Via del Corso until you reach the Tiber River. Turn right and walk along the river until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Cross the bridge, and the museum will be directly in front of you.

  • Metro

    From the Spagna Metro Station (Line A), exit and walk towards Piazza di Spagna. Head down Via del Boccaccio and turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Walk straight until you reach the Tiber River, then cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Continue straight, and the Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo will be at Lungotevere Castello, 50.

    If you are near the Trastevere area, take Tram 8 towards Piazza Venezia. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza Venezia'.
