Walking
If you are starting from the Colosseum, head northwest on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano towards Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano. Continue straight to stay on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, then turn left onto Via Merulana. Follow this street until you reach Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. From there, take the exit onto Via di Porta Maggiore and continue straight onto Via Giovanni Giolitti. After about 800 meters, turn left onto Via Cavour, and then take a right onto Via dei Fori Imperiali. Continue until you reach Piazza Venezia. From Piazza Venezia, head towards Via del Corso and check for signs to the Pantheon. After passing the Pantheon, continue straight onto Via di Santa Maria in Via, then turn left onto Via della Rotonda. From here, take the next right onto Via di Pietra, and follow it until you reach Via Michelangelo Caetani. Palazzo Mattei will be on your left at number 32.
