  • Metro

    Take Line A (the orange line) from any station heading towards Anagnina. If you're starting from Termini Station, it's only two stops to 'San Giovanni' station. Once you arrive at 'San Giovanni', exit the station and follow the signs to 'P.za di S. Giovanni in Laterano'. The Pontifical Sanctuary of the Holy Stairs is located just a short 5-minute walk from the metro station.

    You can take Bus Line 87 or 160 from various points in Rome. If you’re near Termini Station, you can catch Bus 87 which will take you directly to 'P.za di S. Giovanni in Laterano'. Once you arrive, the Sanctuary is a short walk away. Just follow the signs, it will be on your right as you approach the main square.
