Walking
From St. Peter's Square, exit through the main entrance and face the Colonnade. Walk straight ahead towards the main road, the Via della Conciliazione, and continue walking until you reach the end of this road. At the end, turn left onto the Via della Lungara. Follow this road, and after about 15 minutes of walking, you will come to a large intersection. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the Basilica of San Clemente. Turn right at the intersection and walk for another 5 minutes. You will see the Basilica on your left at Piazza di S. Clemente.

Public Transport
From St. Peter's Square, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the Via della Conciliazione. Board bus number 40 or 64 towards Termini Station. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano' stop. From there, walk towards the Via Merulana, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via S. Clemente. Turn left, and after a 5-minute walk, you will arrive at the Basilica of San Clemente, located at Piazza di S. Clemente.
