Getting There

  • Metro

    If you are near the city center, take Metro Line B (Blue Line) towards Laurentina. Get off at the 'Piramide' station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the exit. After exiting, walk straight towards the large pyramid structure known as the Pyramid of Cestius. From there, turn left onto Via Marmorata and continue walking until you reach the intersection with P.za Ostiense. Porta San Paolo will be visible at the end of the square.

  • Bus

    If you are staying near the Colosseum or the Roman Forum, you can take bus number 75 or 83. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop and travel until you reach the stop called 'Ostiense/Piramide'. Once you get off, walk towards the large pyramid structure (Pyramid of Cestius), and then turn left onto Via Marmorata. Continue straight until you reach P.za Ostiense, where Porta San Paolo is located.

  • Walking

    If you are in the Trastevere area, you can walk to Porta San Paolo. Head towards the river and cross the Tiber River via the Ponte Sisto bridge. After crossing, head straight along Via Giulia until you reach the intersection with Via della Lungara. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Viale Trastevere. Turn left and walk until you reach P.za Ostiense. Porta San Paolo will be at the end of the square.

  • Tram

    From the Vatican area, you can take Tram Line 8 towards 'Gonzaga'. Get off at the 'Piazza Augusto Imperatore' stop. Walk towards Via del Corso and take Bus number 30 towards 'Ostiense/Piramide'. After a few stops, get off at 'Ostiense/Piramide' and follow the directions previously mentioned to reach Porta San Paolo.
