Walking
From the entrance of the Vatican Necropolis, exit and head towards the Vatican Museums. Walk straight until you reach the main square in front of St. Peter's Basilica. Once you are in the square, face the basilica and turn left. Walk along the left side of the square until you reach Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight on Via della Conciliazione, which will lead you towards the Tiber River. Once you reach the river, turn right and walk along the Lungotevere Testaccio, which is a scenic path along the riverbank.

From the Vatican Necropolis, walk to the nearest bus stop at Via della Conciliazione. Catch bus number 23 or 280 towards the direction of Testaccio. Get off at the 'Piazza Testaccio' stop. From there, walk towards Lungotevere Testaccio, which is a short 5-minute walk. You will find the notable street along the river.
