Walking
If you find yourself in the heart of Taormina, start at the main square, Piazza IX Aprile. From here, head down Corso Umberto, the main pedestrian street filled with shops and cafes. Continue straight along Corso Umberto until you reach the intersection with Via Teatro Greco. Turn left onto Via Teatro Greco and walk towards the ancient Greek Theatre. After passing the theatre, proceed downhill along Via Teatro Greco until you reach the junction with Via Consolato del Mare. Turn right onto Via Consolato del Mare, and continue walking for about 400 meters. Palazzo Mariani (Ex Palazzo delle Poste) will be on your right at number 41.

If you are near the Taormina cable car station, exit the station and walk towards Via Luigi Pirandello. Head down Via Luigi Pirandello until you reach Corso Umberto. Turn left onto Corso Umberto and proceed directly towards the main square, Piazza IX Aprile. From there, follow the previous walking instructions by heading down Corso Umberto and turning left onto Via Teatro Greco. Finally, turn right onto Via Consolato del Mare to reach Palazzo Mariani.

For visitors staying at the Hotel Villa Carlotta, exit the hotel and turn left onto Via Salita dei Gracchi. Walk straight until you reach Corso Umberto, and turn right. Continue along Corso Umberto until you reach Piazza IX Aprile. From the square, follow the walking directions to Via Teatro Greco, then turn onto Via Consolato del Mare to arrive at Palazzo Mariani.
