Car
If you're driving from Bolzano, take the SS12 road towards Trento. After about 20 km, take the exit towards Kaltern (Caldaro). Follow the signs for Kaltern and then for Penegal. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes. There is parking available near the hiking trails that lead up to Penegal. Note that parking fees may apply, generally around €5 for a full day.

From Bolzano, take the bus line 132 towards Kaltern. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Kaltern (Caldaro) stop. From there, you can either walk (around 1.5 km) or take a local taxi to the base of Penegal. If you prefer hiking, follow the signs leading up to Penegal from Kaltern; the trail is well-marked but be prepared for a steep ascent. Bus tickets cost around €2-3 one way.
