If you are traveling by car, start from Merano, which is the closest major city to Val Venosta. Head east on the SS38 road towards the town of Marlengo. After approximately 6 km, take the exit towards Marlengo. Once in Marlengo, follow the signs for 'Waalweg' or 'Sentiero della Roggia di Marlengo'. You can park at the public parking area near Vicolo San Felice, 15. The trailhead for Marlinger Waalweg is just a short walk from the parking area.

To reach Marlinger Waalweg using public transportation, take the regional train from Merano to Marlengo. The train departs regularly, and the journey takes about 10 minutes. Once you arrive at the Marlengo train station, exit and walk towards Vicolo San Felice. The Marlinger Waalweg trailhead is located just a few minutes from the station.
