If you are driving, start from the main town in Valtellina and take the SS38 road towards Lecco. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the town of Colico. From Colico, follow the signs for 'Olgiasca' and drive along the local roads. As you approach Olgiasca, look for Via Abbazia di Piona where the Cistercian Abbey is located. There is a parking area near the abbey which is usually free.
