Upon arriving at Piazzale Roma, note that cars are not allowed in the historic center of Venice. You will need to park your car at one of the nearby parking garages, such as the 'Garage San Marco', which charges approximately €30-€40 per day. From Piazzale Roma, walk to the Vaporetto (water bus) stop and take Line 1 or Line 2 towards 'San Marco'. The Vaporetto ride takes around 30 minutes. Get off at 'San Marco' stop, and you will find yourself just a short walk from Piazza San Marco.
Train

If you are traveling by train, take a train to 'Venezia Santa Lucia' station, which is well connected from various cities in Veneto. Once you arrive at Santa Lucia, exit the station and follow the signs to the Vaporetto stop just outside. Take Vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 towards 'San Marco'. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes, and the ticket costs around €7.50. Once you disembark at the 'San Marco' stop, it’s just a short stroll to Piazza San Marco.
