Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Savanna-la-Mar, head north on Great George Street towards the roundabout. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A2 highway. Continue walking along the A2 highway heading west for approximately 3 miles. You will pass through the small town of Little London. Keep an eye out for local buses which may be heading to Montego Bay; you can flag one down if you prefer to hop on rather than walk. After another 4 miles along the highway, you will reach Montego Bay. As you enter Montego Bay, you can follow signs for the city center or the beach area where many attractions are located.

• Public Bus

  To get to Montego Bay from Savanna-la-Mar, head to the local bus station located on Great George Street. Look for buses labeled 'Montego Bay' or ask a local for assistance. The buses usually run frequently and take about 45 minutes to reach Montego Bay, depending on traffic. Once you board the bus, pay the fare to the driver. The bus will drop you off in the Montego Bay area, where you can explore the attractions and beaches. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will be stopping in Montego Bay.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Savanna-la-Mar to Montego Bay. You can find taxis near the local bus station or ask your hotel for assistance in calling one. Be sure to negotiate the fare before getting in the taxi, as there are no meters. The journey should take about 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic conditions. The driver will take you directly to your desired location in Montego Bay.
