If you are driving to Shimmachi River Side Park from anywhere in Awa, use Route 11. Head east on Route 11, then take the exit toward Tokushima City. Follow the signs for Tokushima and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Minamiuchimachi. Turn left onto Minamiuchimachi, and you will find the park on your left. There is parking available nearby, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Shimmachi River Side Park via public transportation, take the JR Tokushima Line from Awa Station to Tokushima Station. The journey typically takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Tokushima Station, exit the station and head toward the bus terminal located just outside. From there, you can take Bus No. 24 or 28 and ride it for about 10 minutes, getting off at the 'Minamiuchimachi' stop. The park is a short walk from the bus stop.

Alternatively, you can take a direct bus from Awa to Tokushima. Buses run frequently, and the trip usually takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tokushima Bus Terminal, exit the terminal and follow the same instructions as above: take Bus No. 24 or 28 to 'Minamiuchimachi' stop. After disembarking, walk a few minutes to reach Shimmachi River Side Park.
