If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the Hachimaki Observation Deck using the address: Higashiyamanouchi Nishitani Rokkosancho, Nada Ward, Kobe, Hyogo 657-0101. From any point in Awaji, head towards the Awaji Island Junction and take the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway (also known as the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway). After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit towards Kobe. Follow the signs for Rokkosan and drive along Route 2 until you reach the observation deck. There may be a parking fee depending on the lot you choose, so be prepared for costs.
Public Transportation
To reach Hachimaki Observation Deck using public transportation, first take a bus from Awaji City to Maiko Station. The bus ride should take around 30-40 minutes. Once at Maiko Station, transfer to the JR Line towards Kobe. Get off at Rokkosan Station. From there, you can take a taxi to the Hachimaki Observation Deck, which is about a 15-minute ride. Alternatively, there may be local buses that connect Rokkosan Station to the observation deck, but schedules may vary, so check in advance. Be aware that the total public transport cost will include bus and train fares, which can amount to approximately 1,500-2,000 yen.
