Ochanomizu Station is a major interchange, accessible via JR Chuo Line, JR Sobu Line, and Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. From Tokyo Station, take the JR Yamanote Line or JR Keihin-Tohoku Line to Ochanomizu Station (approx. 3 minutes, ¥150). From Shinjuku Station, take the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) to Ochanomizu Station (approx. 10 minutes, ¥180). Subway tickets on Tokyo Metro cost between ¥170-¥320 depending on the distance. Consider purchasing a day pass for unlimited travel if you plan to visit multiple locations. Transferring to the nearby Shin-Ochanomizu Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line is also an option. Bus services are also available from the Ochanomizu-bashi Exit. A single bus ticket costs a flat fee of ¥210.
Walking
Ochanomizu Station is within walking distance of several attractions, including Akihabara. From Akihabara Station, it's approximately a 15-minute walk. Follow the main road heading west, and you'll reach Ochanomizu Station. Be aware that the area has some hills. Walking is free.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Tokyo. From Akihabara Station to Ochanomizu Station, a taxi ride typically takes only a few minutes. The estimated fare is between ¥1,200 and ¥1,500. Note that taxi fares in Tokyo start at ¥470, with additional charges based on distance and waiting time.
Parking
If driving, parking near Ochanomizu Station can be challenging and expensive. Ochanomizu Sola City Plaza Parking is one option. Expect to pay around ¥300 per 30 minutes for parking. Be aware that parking spaces in central Tokyo are limited, and it's advisable to research parking options in advance.
