Car
If you are driving from central Buzen, head north on Route 10. Follow Route 10 for about 30 minutes until you reach the junction with Route 217. Turn right onto Route 217, and continue for another 15 minutes. Look for signs directing you to Beppu and Bouzu Jigoku. Once you reach Beppu, follow the signs to Ogura. The destination will be on your left at 6 Ogura, Beppu, Oita 874-0840. Parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
Start your journey at Buzen Station. From there, take the JR Nippo Line train towards Oita. The train journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Alight at Beppu Station. Upon exiting Beppu Station, head to the bus terminal located right next to the station. Board the bus heading to Ogura. This bus ride will take around 15 minutes. Get off at the Bouzu Jigoku bus stop. From the bus stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to Bouzu Jigoku, located at 6 Ogura, Beppu, Oita 874-0840. Be sure to check the bus schedule as service may vary.
