    Discover more about Tokyo Skytree

The Tokyo Skytree, completed in 2012, stands as a towering symbol of modern Tokyo. At 634 meters (2,080 feet), it's the tallest structure in Japan and was the second-tallest in the world upon completion. The Skytree serves as a primary broadcasting tower for the Kanto region, ensuring digital television coverage that the older Tokyo Tower couldn't provide. The Skytree's design blends futuristic aesthetics with traditional Japanese elements. Its height, 634, is a nod to "Musashi," the historic name for the Tokyo region. The tower features two enclosed observation decks, the Tembo Deck at 350 meters and the Tembo Galleria at 450 meters, offering stunning, unobstructed views of the sprawling metropolis and, on clear days, even Mount Fuji. The Tembo Deck spans three levels and includes a café, souvenir shop, and the Musashi Sky Restaurant, offering a fusion of French and Japanese cuisine. For thrill-seekers, a glass floor provides a vertiginous look straight down. Ascending further, the Tembo Galleria features a sloping spiral ramp, creating a unique skywalk experience with panoramic views of the Kanto region. At the base of the Skytree lies Tokyo Skytree Town, a large shopping complex with over 300 shops, restaurants, and an aquarium. The complex offers a variety of souvenirs and goods. The Skytree is not just a broadcasting tower but a vibrant destination that encapsulates Tokyo's blend of innovation and tradition.
