Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Chikugo and head towards Route 207, which connects you to Itoshima. Follow Route 207 north until you reach the junction with Route 6, then turn left onto Route 6. Continue on Route 6 until you see signs for Raizansennyoji Taihioin. The temple is located at 626 Raizan, Itoshima, Fukuoka 819-1145. There is free parking available on-site.

    If you are using public transportation, take the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line from Chikugo to Fukuoka, and then transfer at Fukuoka Station to the JR Chikuhi Line heading towards Karatsu. Get off at Itoshima Station. From Itoshima Station, you will need to take a local bus towards Raizan. Buses may run infrequently, so check the schedule in advance.
